There are many useful add-ons for Internet Explorer browser. These add-ons adds some extra efficiency to the browser. But loads of add-ons will slow down the browsers performance. It may hamper the overall browsing experience. In this article you’ll know how to uninstall or remove some of the add-ons or extensions permanently to boost up your browser’s performance.
1) Launch Internet Explorer.
2) Click on Tools button, then click on the Manage Add-ons.
3) Now go to the Show option and select Downloaded controls. You can see all the ActiveX controls.
4) If the remove button is disabled, then you can’t remove other.
5) Now click on the ActiveX control that you want to delete, and then click on More information.
6) Click on the Remove option from the More Information dialog box.
7) Now after removing the multiple add-ons for every control, click on the Close option.
Sometimes the add-ons are automatically loaded by IE itself or by the app programs which has uninstall entries in the Add or Remove Programs. You can delete the unwanted apps from the programs feature of control panel.
