Tuesday, October 19, 2010

Just to control online fraud incidents and take extra security measures, RBI has ordered credit card providers to start a new extra security layer for online transactions from August 1st, 2009. Now you can’t just enter your credit card no, expiry date and 3 digit security code to proceed and purchase online, you do have to get registered by either Verified by Visaor MasterCard SecureCode, depending on your card issuer. Without Verified by Visa or MasterCard SecureCode, you won’t be able to use your credit card online.
