4 Double-Click Action in Firefox (Download Firefox Addons)

Here we have brought some useful Firefox addons which help you to supercharge Double-Click action in Firefox. Well, Double-clicking is one of the preferred mouse actions for many. It’s quick and easy and helps to get things done faster, but unfortunately it has been under-utilized in Firefox. But from now you can utilize Double-Click more efficiently by following Firefox addons which are listed bellow.

  • Close The Current Tab By Double Click

Download ‘Close Tab by Double Click‘ Firefox addon, which enables you to close the tab by simply double clicking on it.
NOTE: if you have only one tab and the double click will close the current Firefox window then follow the following step to get rid from this -
  1. Type – about:config in adress bar
  2. Which will may prompt you a warning message, Click on ‘I’ll be careful, I promise’ button
  3. They Type – browser.tabs.closeWindowWithLastTabon Filter bar
  4. And change the value to false

  • Show Context Menu On Double Click

Download ‘DoubleClick ContextMenu‘ Firefox addon, which enables you to show context menu when you double click on any text.

  • Reload The Current Tab On Double Click

Download ‘Reload Tab On Double-Click‘ Firefox addon, which enable you to reload the current tab when you double-click on it. (and it does “full” / no-cache / hard reload if you hold SHIFT when double-clicking)
SHIFT + double click = reload the page skipping the browser cache
NOTE: In some cases, it can result in loss of data (with almost completed forms, etc).
  • Open Links In A New Tab By Double-Clicking On Them
