Uninstall or Remove Internet Explorer in Windows XP and Vista

Internet Explorer comes as the default browser on all Windows operating systems. Microsoft pushes IE browser to every Windows user, however, Internet Explorer is the least advanced browser with maximum bugs and less features. In comparison to other advanced browsers such as Firefox, Chrome or Opera, Internet Explorer does not stand up to user expectations and hence you might want to uninstall it completely from your system.
If you want to remove or uninstall IE completely either in Windows XP or Vista, here is the tutorial.
Remove or Uninstall Internet Explorer in XP
  1. Click Start >> Control Panel >> choose Add or Remove Programs
  2. Check the Show updates box (too middle of the window)
  3. Scroll down to find Internet Explorer in the list
  4. Uninstall IE in Windows XP
  5. Click on Remove option next to it
  6. You are done.
Uninstall Internet Explorer in Vista
  1. Navigate to Start >> Control Panel
  2. In the upper left of the window, click on Control Panel Home so deactivate classic view
  3. Choose Uninstall a Program >> click View installed updates
  4. Wait for sometime till Windows displays all your installed updates
  5. Scroll to find Windows Internet Explorer in the list
  6. Uninstall IE in Vista
  7. Click Uninstall on the top of the windows to remove IE completely
  8. You are done.
