How to clear my Web Browser Cache?

Whenever you open a website using a web browser, it stores a piece of data on your computer to make your site navigation process easier and quicker. This piece of data is known as web browser cache and it helps you in loading the web pages faster when you hit either back or forward button on your browser. In stead of reloading the page entirely, it usages the previously stored cached page and this cache system makes the whole browsing system real faster. However, it might slow down your page loading time or can serve you some real old pages if you don’t clear your web browser cache regularly.

It will be a wise idea to clear web browser cache regularly. Clearing browser cache will make your web browser more efficient and faster. let’s know how to clear cache from web browsers such as IE8, IE7, Firefox (Windows) and Safari, Firefox (Mac OS, Mac OS X).
Internet Explorer 8

  1. Navigate to the Safety menu and hit Delete Browsing History a
  2. Select Temporary Internet files and History
  3. Hit Delete button.

Internet Explorer 7

  1. Head to Tools >> Internet Options >> General tab
  2. Delete Browsing History and Temporary Internet files
  3. Hit Close >> OK button.
Firefox (Windows)

  1. Click on Tools >> Clear Recent History
  2. Select Everything from Time range to clear drop down menu
  3. Select all the buttons below and click on Clear now button

Safari (Mac OS / Mac OS X)

  1. Go to Safari menu and select Empty Cache option
  2. Click Empty on the prompted windows to clear all cache

Firefox (Mac OS / Mac OS X)

  1. Go to Tools >> Clear recent History
  2. Choose Everything as the time range and select all options below
  3. Click on Clear now to clear all stored cache
  4. You are done.
